In The Never Ending Story, Barret Oliver, who began his career as a child actor, briefly stole our hearts. After his final role in 1989, he decided acting was not for him as an adult and decided it was not for him. He decided that acting was not for him and that he would rather work behind the scenes. He now works in the fields of printing and photography, where he has had a lot of success. His work has been exhibited in museums and galleries around the world.

Rick took a six-year break from acting after the death of his wife in 1991 to focus on his children. A single parent couldn’t handle the traveling that came with filming. However, in the last decade, he has returned to voice acting.
