South Dakota – 31.9% Obesity Rate
Only 29.6% of residents were living in South Dakota were considered obese in 2016. After three years have passed, the scale of obesity in this state increased to 31.9%. Those who were American Indians, individuals who only graduated in high school or GED, and people who were earning $25,000 to $34,999 were experiencing weight problems. Native Americans had the largest obesity scale in South Dakota.
Wisconsin – 32% Obesity Rate
If it were Wisconsin, we would immediately think about the delicious cheese. However, this might be the reason the residents encountered weight problems. Unlike the other state, children in Wisconsin have the lowest obesity rate. The School of Public Health at the University of Wisconsin applied zip codes in their study. According to them, some areas had four times higher than were considered overweight.
