Natalia Kills
It’s difficult to maintain your composure while judging a live talent show. Judges must entertain as well as assess, and on New Zealand’s version of “The X Factor,” Natalia Kills went a bit too far… In 2015, she called contestant Joe Irvine a “laughing stock” and accused him of plagiarizing his act and persona from Kills’ own husband, singer Willy Moon, who was also on the judging panel at the time. Kills and Moon were quickly shot from the broadcast.
Natalie Maines
The Dixie Chicks’ Natalie Maines discovered the hard way that country music and politics are incompatible. After she made some snide comments about then-President George W. Bush, radio stations began asking listeners if the Dixie Chicks should be barred from their streaming sites. Maines, a Texas native, should have realized that the majority of her supporters are southern conservatives.
