Adopting a dog is never a simple endeavor. People assume it is, but there is a substantial amount of responsibility involved, particularly if the animal being adopted has had terrible experiences in the past. However, it turns out that some of the most enjoyable pets are also the most challenging to maintain. Nobody knew why Benji returned to the shelter after being adopted repeatedly. It had occurred eleven times by this point, and his owners continued to offer stupid explanations. Benji’s problem was not fully understood until the new trainee opted to take him home with her.

Because Benji was a mixed breed, it was unknown to whom he belonged. He resembled a cross between a Labrador and a Golden Retriever, with a touch of an Asian Village Dog for good measure.
