One possibility remained if it hadn’t been an animal and it wasn’t natural. Humans. Why would someone venture out into the middle of the woods and abandon a young puppy there alone was the big issue. Even so, was that a monkey? Although Jonathan had many unanswered questions, he was aware that something needed to be done.

Going For A Walk
He turned the cover of his travel bag into a temporary container and placed the puppy inside it with care. Before he reached his car, he still had a long way to walk, but at least for the moment, the little creature would be safe and shielded from any dangerous animals around.
