Vivien Leigh
It is interesting to hear that physical beauty is not always a good thing. For Vivien Leigh, it was a barrier to her career at one point. As a matter of fact, a director said that she was a “consummate actress, hampered by beauty.” Best known for A Streetcar Named Desire and Gone with the Wind, her theater career is more prolific than her screen one. In the later stages of her life, she suffered from tuberculosis. In 1967, the actress succumbed to the respiratory. Rest in peace, Vivien!
Aishwarya Rai Bachchan
Aishwarya Rai is a common face in those “most beautiful woman in the world” lists. We are not shocked to see her on the list. She started modeling as a college student and won the Miss World crown in 1994. Later on, she started to appear in Bollywood projects. Derek Elley from Variety said that her performances have a “delicately sensual presence and physical grace.” Even though this gorgeous woman is constantly hounded by the media, she prefers to keep her personal affairs on the down-low.
