Matthew Broderick

Matthew Broderick appears to be an innocent man devoid of any tragic past, but that is not the case. The thespian and long-time Hollywood standout was involved in an accident in Northern Ireland that cost the lives of two women: Anna Gallagher and Margaret Doherty. Broderick accidentally swerved into oncoming traffic, killing the other two, instantly. Surviving the crash, Broderick apparently had no recollection of the event or even any of the rest of that day: he ended up in the hospital for an entire month where he was rehabilitated from a collapsed lung, some broken ribs, and a concussion. Broderick was ticketed with a careless driving citation and summarily let go. The family of the women who lost their lives were livid with the slap on the wrist.

Morgan Freeman

Morgan Freeman is the man with the golden voice. The famous actor from Tennessee got his start in show business back in 1971 in the film “Who Says I Can’t Ride a Rainbow!” Since then, he has become one of the staples of Hollywood blockbuster’s and B-movie projects, alike. Unfortunately, his illustrious career and, indeed, life almost came to an end in August of 2008. The actor was injured in a single-car incident that nearly killed everyone in the vehicle. Freeman’s Nissan Maxima ramped off of the highway, flipping several times before coming to a stop. Paramedics had to airlift the man to a hospital where he was found to have broken bones littering his body. Though Freeman survived, his right hand is almost completely paralyzed. His passenger, Demaris Meyer, ended up sueing Freeman for negligence as she insisted that he’d been drinking the night of the crash. Meyer had to consult a personal injury lawyer before moving forward. The case was settled out of court and the rest is history. Freeman is still showing up in big-budget films, but the crash seems to have sobered him up.
