Andre the Giant

1987 is the year Andre the Giant went from the world’s most beloved performer to the WWE’s most hated Superstar. Why? He betrayed his longtime ally Hulk Hogan. At the time WWE were honoring Andre with a trophy for his 15-year undefeated streak, but we guess he was jealous that Hogan had just received a trophy to honor his three-year WWE Title reign. Andre also appeared as Fezzik in beloved film The Princess Bride. Sadly he passed away in 1993 at age 46.

Paul Orndorff

“Mr. Wonderful” Paul Orndorff made his debut in 1983 as a narcissistic bad guy. Then he teamed up with Hulk Hogan but after Hogan missed a few of his phone calls, Orndorff turned on his teammate. What then resulted was the biggest betrayal the ring has ever seen and Mr. Wonderful quickly became America’s most hated wrestler. He is known for his work in the WCW and WWF. After an arm injury, Orndorff eventually retired in 2000. The WWE Hall of Fame inductee is 68 and is enjoying a quiet life.
