It’s hard to settle for nothing less when you win your first gold–that is true for Michael Johnson, who won three golds. In 1992, he won his first gold medal at 4X400 m, and then conquered the 400 meters and 200 meters of solo events in 1996. The final gold of Johnson came in 2000, holding the title of King of 400m. Since his retirement, Johnson has been working as an athletic commentator. In 2018 the former athlete suffered a stroke, but since the incident, he has struggled to return to normal.
