Michelle Kwan

Michelle Kwan has won the Silver Medal in 1998 and the Bronze Medal in 2002. Her parents came from Hong Kong to the United States and immediately fell in love with figure skating. Kwan was only five years old when she tried her first couple of skates, and the young skater won her first skate competition within a year. At the age of 13, she finished eighth in the World Championship, winning five and nine times in the US.

Edwin Moses

Edwin Moses knows no defeat–he has won two gold medals in two Olympics both in 1976 and 1984. Hurdler’s championship was a 400-meter hurdle, and Moses won a total of 107 final rows from 1977 through 1987! In his life, the hurdler set four world records and retired in the early 2000s. Moses still likes to compete–he is now showing his work as he participates in bobsleigh events.
