When they took her to the gymnastics class, Shawn Johnson’s parents realize they made a very fateful decision. She was only three years old, and she already began her stellar career which ended in grabbing gold at the balance beams and three silver medals in the 2008 Beijing Games. She has a torn ACL from a ski crash, that cut her gymnastic career short but she still managed to be seen in the eyes of society. In addition to Dancing with the Stars, Johnson regularly appeared on TV, be it talk shows or commentary. Johnson now runs a successful YouTube channel called The East Family with husband Andrew East, with 1.07 million subscribers and often millions of views on her videos.

Nadia Comaneci
When she competed for the Olympics in 1976 in Montréal, Nadia Comaneci caused quite a stir. After the judges gave her a perfect score since it was the first time it has ever happened she went down in history. During the 1976 and the 1980 games, she is widely known as one of the greatest Olympians, because she managed to hurdle a gold and a silver medal. Comaneci married Bart Conner, an American gymnast who is an Olympic gold medalist as well. The couple now owns a fitness center and participate in philanthropy. And in October 2017, an area in the Olympic Park in Montreal was renamed “Place Nadia Comaneci” in her honor.
