It starts with Lester, the protagonist in the film who sits in a busy Basketball Fitness Center, and watches several cheerleaders in a group do their routine. He was instantly captivated by the lead cheerleader, who was also the star of American Pie, Mena Suvari. Her spotlight is shining as she becomes more focused on her dance, and when everything else turns to darkness.
