Jessica Alba named her adoring puppy “Bowie” after singer/songwriter David Bowie. Even with her youngest child in the house, Jessica said that she felt safe having “Bowie” and another dog, “Sid” in the house with her young one. “Sid” was a cute little pug, too! All good things must come to an end, it seems, as Jessica lost both of her beloved dogs in 2017.

Jennifer Aniston, one of the lead actresses on the hit TV sitcom, Friends, adopted her own mixed pit bull puppy in 2012. She adopted the dog with Jason Theroux, her boyfriend at the time. Jason and Jennifer named their new puppy “Sophie,” after the extraordinary novel, Sophie’s Choice.
