Huarmey Queen

The Huarmey Queen was important to the Wari. These folks hail from the coastal and south-central areas of the Andes Mountains from 700 to 1000 AD. She was discovered in a well-kept mausoleum in El Castillo de Huarmey in the Ancash region. They found 57 noblewomen buried with her as well.

What The Huarmey Queen Really Looked Like

In an effort to make her look more realistic, they gave her a physical form. Perhaps the most fascinating thing about the mausoleum discovery is that she, together with her noblewomen, were arranged in rows of fives. Aside from this, she was also buried with artifacts like bowls and jewelry.
