All you need for a luxurious at-home spa facial are a few natural ingredients you can find in any supermarket. Not only will you save yourself a serious amount of cash, but you will get the skin you always dreamed of without leaving the house! This mask has only three ingredients: matcha powder, yogurt, and honey. Before using this mask, just do a patch test on your arm to ensure that you aren’t allergic to these ingredients.

Why these ingredients?

Matcha Powder

Well, matcha powder is packed with anti-inflammatory properties, especially EGCG. These compounds reduce inflammation in the skin and reduce redness. Another great benefit of matcha is anti-aging. It protects the skin from free radicals and sun damage which can damage the skin and cause wrinkles, age spots, and dry skin. Last but certainly not least, this green tea powder is great for reducing oil in the skin. It shrinks the pores and reduces the production of oil, resulting in fewer breakouts.

Yogurt

Yogurt is great for the skin for a number of reasons. It moisturizes the skin, reduces wrinkles and fine lines, fights acne, and reduces dark circles. Those are a whole lot of benefits for just one ingredient! Yogurt has anti-inflammatory properties, is loaded with zinc and lactic acid, all of which contribute to its many skin benefits. Yogurt is also great for soothing sunburns!

Honey

Since it’s naturally anti-bacterial, honey is fantastic for the skin, preventing and treating acne. It’s also full of antioxidants, which help slow down the aging process. In addition, honey is a great moisturizer that soothes the skin and helps heal any wounds.

Measurements:

For this mask, you will need:

  • 2 Tbsp. yogurt
  • 1 Tsp. raw honey
  • 1 Tbsp matcha powder

Directions:

  1. Place all the ingredients together in a bowl and mix them until completely combined.
  2. Apply the mixture to a clean face and leave on for about 15 minutes.
  3. Rinse off with warm water and pat face dry with a washcloth.
  4. If you have some of the mixture left, you can store it in the fridge and use it another day!
