For many years, Troy Aikman had been interested in going into the field of youth coaching. He did not expect or think that it would happen at the school or the team of any of his children. This was truer a few years ago since he had no one to call his son back then. He had no hesitation at all when he accepted the job offer! However, is everything as he had hoped it would be?

A Part-Time Position
One of the primary reasons that Aikman was unable to be a coach before was that there were not many opportunities that would accommodate his Fox Sports commentator position. This was the same reason why the part-time assistant position for Val’s team was so perfect! Aikman gets to set practices around his own schedule. On Tuesday and Wednesday, the high school team is able to enjoy training with football legend Troy Aikman. He is also there to coach them on their Friday night games.
