If you’re bringing your patio furniture out of storage in preparation for summer, spruce it up with a wipe down of baking soda and water on a cloth. If the furniture smells somewhat musty and dirty after spending the winter in the shed, sprinkle some baking soda on them and leave it for 15 minutes. Vacuum them gently afterward and you’re good to go!

If you find that your clothes aren’t smelling good when they come out of the washing machine, it might be time to clean the machine itself. Nowadays, washing machines need to be cleaned more often than you think, especially if you have a front-loading model. Luckily, baking soda is the perfect natural cleanser for the inside of the machine. Start a large, hot load with no clothing in your washer and add baking soda and vinegar to get rid of any buildup and smelly mold.
