The doctor looked up Roy’s nostrils repeatedly, and he was frustrated when the initial results came back negative. Nothing had come up in any of the tests he’d ordered. Some other things he could have done, however, would have required Susan’s approval. Susan’s time would be seriously compromised. I’m curious as to what kind of response he’d give.

While waiting for test results, Susan consented to the doctor posting photos of Roy’s nose on a medical forum. His expectation was that another physician would have encountered a similar case. They would have to wait a while for a reply.
