Helping Out
Susan could not find the right words to express her feelings. She shared what she knew with the police and his doctor, including the path he took and any pertinent information she had observed. She was at a loss for what to do next. Her main focus was on the proposed course of treatment. Can they possibly help the infant? Is his nose going to be eaten by the virus, or what?

Everybody’s Panicked
Susan was fortunate in that the hospital had the required medication, but the baby had to be isolated for a while. Susan’s hike was the reason the police were called, but when they saw her emerge from the isolation room, they freaked out for the same reason her doctor had. It was already a huge mess, but there was more.
