Friends that you meet at the festival tend to become like family. However, some people actually bring their family members such as siblings, parents, etc. During the very first Burning Man Festival, children were not allowed to come, but this changed the following year.

Although this is an environmentally friendly festival, wearing fur is something that is expected and very popular to see. Many burners were fake fur or rabbit fur and people are even encouraged to catch the wild rabbits running around. Then they either eat them or make them into a new wardrobe!
