Toby and Patricia suggested to Amber that it could have all been a dream. Amber, on the other hand, insisted that the beeping had persisted all night. Toby checked her room numerous times throughout the day since he didn’t want his daughter to be angry. There was nothing to be found. Or so he thought.

Amber woke Patricia and Toby up again later in the week to examine the noise. Amber wouldn’t let them sleep again until they heard it. They finally heard it after a half-hour wait! It came from her toy chest. Patricia suspected that it was a dead battery in one of her new toys. She couldn’t have been more mistaken.
