Franklin D. Roosevelt

Here we have another U.S. president who happened to have been a cheerleader during his time at Harvard University. On top of that, he became the editor-in-chief of The Harvard Crimson daily newspaper. After getting his A.B. in history, he went on to enroll in Columbia Law School in 1904. However, he dropped out in 1907. Why? Because he had passed the New York bar exam. It wasn’t until 1932 that he became president of the United States.

Dwight D. Eisenhower is yet another U.S. president who was a cheerleader. However, he wasn’t just a cheerleader. He was a boy of many skills. While attending West Point college, he initially began on the football team after not making the baseball team. But he had to quit the team due to an injury he got on the field. He then re-injured the same knee on horseback and in the boxing ring, so he turned to fencing and gymnastics. Later, he served as a junior varsity football coach and cheerleader.
