A Day To Remember

A day to remember indeed for Patrick. Using three helicopters, in this one day Patrick was able to rescue 51 injured soldiers. Many of whom were severely injured and without Patrick’s actions would have surely died. Patrick’s bravery can only be commended, he has certainly earned the respect of anyone. To act so selflessly and saving so many lives, Patrick went above and beyond for his country, and fellow man.

Recognition

Following his heroic exploits, Patrick continued on to give 25 more years of service to the military. In recognition of his heroism, he received two medals; The Medal of Honor and The Distinguished Service Cross. Both medals citations outline the heroism that Patrick displayed during his missions, risking everything to help fellow soldiers. The Medal of Honor is the highest honor a soldier can receive, and we certainly believe that he deserves it.
