Worst: Whole Grains
Are you aware that whole grains come with oils? They are found in the bran and germ of the grain, which is why they can go bad in no time at all. This is also true for seeds and nuts. Even though the oils are taken out in certain grains, they can remain attached and make the food product go bad.

Worst: Jerky
Beef jerky is preserved with the use of salt and spices, so you might assume that it will stay fresh for a while. Sadly, the truth is that you have to put it in the fridge after opening it regardless of what meat it is. Most packages say that the jerky should be consumed within 3 days of opening and then refrigerated. Jerky will last just a week or two in the fridge. For that reason, it is better to just get smaller packages.
