Setting The Traps
He took up the old carton box containing his mouse traps. He only had to pick them up, but they were in a crate full of strange garbage. He questioned why he kept all these useless possessions while holding up an old doll that his niece adored. He eventually found a lot of traps and got to work. I’m not sure if this is a waste of time.

Nathan had thought the strange thing he desired was for a rat to come out with himself. He didn’t want to get into a fight with the trash. As a result, he constructed a complex network of traps using cheese and whatever other food he could find. He placed them on the ground. He was barely in bed the night he heard the first shatter. He was terrified of what would happen in the morning.
