Some teachers are notorious for being overly critical of grammar. Take, for example, this one! The teacher was apparently so particular about word choice (or perhaps it was a school policy) that when a student asked for permission to use the restroom to barf, she made a big deal about it.

As soon as she was finished with the child’s “barfing,” she escorted him to the Principal’s office, where he was severely reprimanded for using the term barf instead of vomiting or throwing up.
Punished for Having ‘Too Many Erasers’
This fifth-grader got into trouble because he had too many erasers. It would have been understandable if there were 20-30 of them in the class, making a shambles. This kid, on the other hand, had only three. One of his detractors apparently dumped a bunch of erasers on his desk.

The teacher refused to listen to the kid when he tried to explain what had happened. The child was sent home with his eraser collection stapled shut and a note to his parents about his “disruptive behavior.”
