A scary sound
He was speaking inaudibly, and the only sounds Abby could make out occasionally were laughing. Why would he be keeping his activities from his wife and daughter when he appeared to be enjoying them? When her father abruptly stopped speaking, another sound reverberated through the walls as Abby prepared to knock on the door and confront her father.
