Sydney McLaughlin is an American hurdler and sprinter, renowned for her time at the University of Kentucky before winning a 400-meter hurdles silver medal at the 2019 World Championships. She broke the college and NCAA records for the same event in 2018. She turned professional later that year. With both mom and dad having a history of competitive running, Sydney comes from an athletic family.
