A New Chapter
The only thing she could do was to start over. She went on a soul-searching journey in 2015 and decided that it was time for her to make a change. It was a good thing that she found a new job in Denver, Colorado and left her life in Alabama for it. She was an integrated service manager at GE Johnson.

Her New Home
Katie was optimistic about this decision. It was time for her to turn things around and make her dreams come true. She got a 4-bed ‘fixer-upper’ house that required renovations: “The house I bought would require extensive work to transform into my vision and most of which I would have to do myself in order to afford it.” She even told a friend that she felt like it was meant for ‘more’, whatever that means.
