My family always knew when he was on his way because I’d sit at the window with my arm outstretched, trying to capture him waving hello. When he passed by, Klynn would wave and say hello. The cop loved the good vibes and would wave back. Every day, the two would greet each other, frequently brightening otherwise bleak days. There’s a reason Klynn’s region was always patrolled. She did not have a happy childhood.

Klynn and her family relocated to Texas following the incident. But she never had the chance to thank the guy who had saved her life. After 20 years, Klynn went out to find this man who had gone unnamed for so long.
