Decades Later
Forty years later, and 1978 still seems to be a vague memory. He remembers the day with their baby, Christopher, as if it were yesterday, and since that day, he has been able to sense victory, defeat, and everything in between. He reflects, of course, on the celebratory elements of being with his teammates, winning the award, as well as the orange bits and energy drinks. As she did every day, Julie was doing some thrift store shopping on the other side of the country. To collect lost treasures from the thrift store, Julie liked to wander through the islands.
