Grandmother Edith, a devout worshipper, had been attending the same church for nearly five decades. She went to an Evangelical church in a suburb located in the Bible Belt of the South. By putting in her share of hours, she made sure to do her part for her church. Every Sunday, she was in the nursery and would organize events and cook breakfasts and dinners. She taught children for Youth Bible Study even on Sunday nights.

Also, Edith would give the church a portion of her pension each month. A truly generous individual, she wanted to help the church in any way she could. Daniella even remembered Edith driving from their retreat to the city to get some evangelical equipment forgotten by her pastor. It wasn’t until Edith got back to the retreat the next morning. She hasn’t even received a simple thank you.
