Making a Malleable Plastic
This hack is for you if you need a substance for a DIY project that requires a little more strength than regular superglue. While we don’t fully understand the science, mixing baking soda with regular superglue produces superglue in its plastic form.
This unusual mixture can be used to fill in gaps and plug holes. It’s extremely long-lasting, so all that’s required is a small dab of superglue, followed by a layer of baking soda on the surface and pressing it down with a cloth. You should be finished after a few moments.
Unsticking Drawers With Wax
Our drawers begin to fail us after a few years and many, many uses. They’ll either start warping and no longer hold your clothes securely, or the drawers will become difficult to open and close.
Even so, you can lubricate the drawer runners by rubbing them with a little wax (or even soap if you have any on hand). This means no more sticky drawers and a new lease on life for your furniture!
