During Harold’s military duty in the Pacific, the two became acquainted. When they first met and began dating, it was as if they both knew they would be together for the rest of their lives. Harold was so in love with Alvera that he was completely unaware of the tremendous secret she was keeping from him. None of us could predict what the future would hold, but no one could have predicted what was about to take place.
The Following Years Of The War
Despite the fact that they had been in love for a long time, they were unable to marry as long as the conflict continued. The couple had to wait a few years after the end of World War II before they were given the opportunity to exchange wedding vows. They relocated to the city of Parma, Ohio, in 1944. The newlyweds decided to purchase a house in a working-class section of town. When they received the fantastic news, it was two years later. Gail, the couple’s daughter, was born in 1946, making the pair the proud parents of a growing family.
