Golem

Golems are inanimate beings made of inanimate matter like clay or mud that have been resurrected to perform Jewish folklore activities. In some stories, a golem is said to be created to protect Jews from antisemitic violence. According to legend, golems are obedient and will carry out orders to the letter, but their creators had to tread carefully when deciding what they wanted them to do.

Ogre

Ogres appear in mythology and folklore all over the world, and while the name comes from the ancient Etruscan god Orcus, the beast is named after the man-eating creature. Many of us are familiar with ogres thanks to Shrek, but Shrek is not your typical ogre. Ogres are massive, hairy, and ferocious creatures with a voracious appetite. They’re portrayed as either dull and oblivious or brutal, but who knows? It’s possible they’re layered like an onion.
