The Queen sends signals with her purse, imagine being able to convey a message just by where your purse is placed, it is also a way for her to avoid any awkward situation. When the Queen places her purse on the table it signals she is ready to wrap the meal up and leave. When she moves her purse from her left hand to her right hand it signals that she wants to end the conversation she is currently in, imagine that, swapping your purse and the conversation is just over.
