The years that passed between 2002 and 2006, Kwan continued as always in her ways. The only difference was that she suffered a hip injury and had to undergo surgery which resulted in a small break from skating.

The Path Ahead
As passionate as ever Kwan decided it was time to focus on another route in her life and devoted some attention to school. She withdrew from the 2006 Olympic qualifications and enrolled at the University of Denver, Colorado.
