Bertha Rogers Hole
In 1974, the Lone Star Producing Company began oil drilling in western Oklahoma. The firm ended up creating the “Bertha Rogers hole” as a result of its actions. It was the world’s deepest hole until 1979 when the USSR’s Kola Superdeep Borehole surpassed it.

Where Is It Located?
The man-made wonder, which is located in Washita County, is more than 31,400 feet beneath the surface of the planet. That’s a distance of nearly six miles! It was extremely deep! You can only wonder just how deep the hole is!
