Joe’s Ditches
Following him, he constructed drainage gutters, called “Joe’s ditches.” It is neat to hear that they continue to be used to this very day. As you might already have guessed, they were installed to ensure that the water very often flows through the resort. This way, water does not really ever have to come to a standstill.

It Is Always Flowing
Christopher Lucas, a Disney expert, spoke to Reader’s Digest and clarified the whole drainage system’s reasoning. He said, “The guests usually don’t notice it, but the water is constantly flowing… Whenever you walk by a body of water, there’s usually a fountain in the middle of it, or they’re doing something to keep it flowing.”
