In the ’50s, Walt Disney wanted to construct a new attraction at Sleeping Beauty’s Castle. They found that there were wild cats inside after the Imagineers had looked inside! They agreed to let the animals stay there, eventually. After all, they proved to be an efficient solution for the area’s mice to control pests. This is also the reason why the park is now home to about 200 feral cats.
