New Hampshire was one of the direst states because, as the statistics show, around two out of three adults and more than 25% of children were obese or overweight. The only positive thing about the rate was that it had been consistent for five years straight, and it proved that the government, food industry, and the residents helped each other begin reversing the deadly trend. Nine percent of adults were diagnosed with diabetes.

New Jersey – 27.7% Obesity Rate

New Jersey appeared to be doing better than the other states in the country, yet it seemed that they weren’t dealing with it well. New Jersey was getting fatter, but thankfully, the state had decided to take some action to remedy the situation. New Jersey launched an initiative drive named “Healthy New Jersey 2020” to improve New Jersey’s populace’s overall health. It aimed to achieve several health-centered goals before the year ended.
