Larry Johnson chose to take his career seriously after retiring from the NBA. He eventually returned to UNLV to get his degree in social studies. Following that, he was appointed as the New York Knicks’ business and operations representative. This, however, did not endure long. When it was discovered that he owed more than $100,000 in delinquent child support, he filed for bankruptcy in 2015. Oops.
Ben Wallace – Owner Of A G-League Basketball Team
Ben Wallace had a tremendously successful NBA career while he was active. He played in the NBA for 16 years and won the NBA Defensive Player of the Year title four times. He was also an All-Star selection four times and once led the league in blocks. After his retirement, he found himself in deep water, yet the legal problems did not devastate his wealth. In 2018, he acquired ownership of the Grand Rapids Drive of the NBA G-League.
