Kareem Abdul-Jabbar was one of the all-time great basketball players. After retiring from the league, he went on to become an actor, a basketball coach, and a best-selling author. Kareem was named the United States Global Cultural Ambassador by Secretary of State Hillary Clinton. In 2016, then-President Barack Obama presented him with the Presidential Medal of Freedom.

Herb Williams: WNBA Coach
From 1981 to 1999, Herb Williams was a member of the NBA. After retiring from basketball, he did not, however, leave the sport. Herb is a proud assistant coach for the WNBA’s (Women’s National Basketball Association) New York Liberty. He began working for the franchise in 2015 and continues to do so today.
