Derrick Coleman – Water Supplier
Derrick Coleman’s coaches referred to him as “lazy” despite being in the NBA for 15 years. This critique, however, does not seem to apply to the following chapter of his life! He’s been traveling throughout Flint, making sure people have access to clean drinking water. Isn’t that incredible and admirable? “That’s exactly what I’m seeing. Distress. I’m witnessing individuals that need assistance. I’ve seen the rust and other contaminants in their water. Unfortunately, Flint has become a ghost town… “How can this happen in America?” he wondered.
Steve Francis – Entrepreneur
Steve Francis retired from the NBA after nine years of service. He subsequently shifted his attention to other pursuits. He pursued music and founded Maserati Music, among other things. It was a hip-hop record label that had little success. However, this did not deter him from attempting a new business. He started a clothing brand called We r One, but he has now put all of his initiatives on pause.
