Shaquille O’Neal: Conductor
Shaquille O’Neal, better known by his nickname Shaq, was a superstar in the NBA. He continues to work in other capacities despite the fact that he is no longer a professional basketball player. He decided to pursue his passion for music in some way after being released from the league. Shaq has six studio albums under his belt, including a cameo on Michael Jackson’s “2 Bad.” Shaq recently made his conducting debut with the Boston Pops Orchestra at Boston Symphony Hall.

David Robinson: Builds Schools
Former San Antonio Spurs player David Robinson founded and funds Carver Academy, a non-profit private school for inner-city kids. After retiring from basketball in 2003, he pursued his dream of assisting underprivileged children. In 2012, the school changed its name to IDEA Carver and became a public charter school. David is still very active at the school, coming almost every day to help in any way he can.
