Stanley Baxter, a skilled comic actor and impressionist, produced a series of spectacular comedy programs for television for over 25 years. His impersonations of famous performers, as well as the Pope and Queen, far beyond all expectations. Baxter, who was born on May 24, 1926 in Glasgow, is also the author of several stories set in the city. Some of his well-known shows are The Stanley Baxter Show and The Stanley Baxter Series. Stanley rose to prominence as a child entertainer on BBC Scotland. Furthermore, Baxter has appeared in a number of films, including Geordie, Very Important Person, and The Fast Lady.
