Reba and Narvel first met in 1980 when he was playing the steel guitar for her band. Years later, Narvel became her manager, which is why the two became closer to each other. He was the one there for her when Reba needed emotional support when she got a divorce from her husband at that time. This also when the two realized that they wanted to be more than just friends.

Tying The Knot
After years of dating, the two finally decided to tie the knot in 1989. The married couple took over the music industry together and even started their own management company called Starstruck. When they got married, Reba became the stepmother to Narvel’s children. A year after the marriage Reba gave birth to the first child Shelby. If you’ll think of it, it seems like that everything was fine in their family, but it was not always easy for Reba.
