Alexander (2004)
Oliver Stone intended Alexander to be the greatest war epic ever made. The filmmaker made it his aim to create a film about one of history’s most prolific fighters. Unfortunately, the ultimate result was a watered-down version that depended heavily on big Hollywood names to attract audiences. When it came to inconsistencies, the director didn’t seem to mind if they didn’t enhance the relationship. They casually skipped important wars and even depicted decade-long wars as single combat!

The Hurt Locker (2008)
When it comes to Kathryn Bigelow’s picture, people have different feelings. During the Iraq War, The Hurt Locker follows an Explosive Ordnance Disposal team. Some commentators praised the film as an intellectual film that depicted individuals who genuinely enjoy fighting. Meanwhile, several EOD veterans have complained that the film’s representations of operations are ludicrous. The film was panned for portraying EOD troops as “adrenaline junkies with no self-control.” Even though it isn’t the most historically accurate film, it is nonetheless regarded as one of the best war films ever created.
