Platoon (1986)

Platoon is a little older picture that is often regarded as one of Netflix’s greatest. Platoon is a good example of all the things that can go wrong when the human mind is pushed to its limits. A young man, played by the outstanding Charlie Sheen, enlists in the Vietnam war with a desire for fame but rapidly learns the consequences of the job. Especially when they are forced to treat the natives in a manner with which he disagrees. The film is a psychological thriller rather than a war film.

The Thin Red Line (1998)

The Thin Red Line is a one-of-a-kind film on this list, but it’s still a fantastic film. The film delves at the specific fighting tactics and strategies employed by the Japanese infantry throughout their island campaign, which blurred the line between morality and triumph. Many people regard this picture, which was released in 1998, as one of the best in its genre and, of course, an exceptional introspective war film.
