Initially, Walter and his friends kept on getting away with bank robbing. He recalled, “After every score, we’d hand out on the strip at 14th and T [Streets], and act like big timers. We felt like gangsters.” In a moment of honesty, Walter admitted: “I have nobody to blame but myself. I just enjoyed the feeling of having money.”
